A Seneca County mother pleaded guilty Wednesday for her role in the beating death of her 3-year-old son, prosecutors said.
Alison Bovio pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in the death of her son, Panagiotis “Peter” Stephanides-Vacchino, in May and has agreed to testify against her husband, Donald Bovio, who is also charged in the death.
Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch said Bovio faces a maximum sentence of four to 12 years in state prison. Donald Bovio was Peter’s stepfather.
